Description

Also called "cuckoo" in reference to the arrival of spring, the cowslip is a very hardy perennial plant with yellow flowers used for its medicinal properties. In the wild, it thrives in meadows and undergrowth. The cowslip attracts pollinators and will give a natural, rustic look to your garden. The cowslip will acclimatize better in the northern part of France than the south. Height: 20 cm on average. Its soothing medicinal properties will be obtained by macerating the leaves in oil or in an infusion. Successfully sowing cowslip Sow in a nursery, in light conditions, from February to May. Planting in the garden The cowslip prefers a sunny location and chalky soil. It will appreciate being planted in meadows, at the edge of flowerbeds, on slopes, or in undergrowth.
