Perennial plant, but often grown as a biennial. Numerous small, starry blue flowers in clusters with a yellow eye. Sowing Sow in a nursery from June to August, 1 cm deep and 10 cm between rows. Firm with the back of a rake. Cover lightly with soil. Cultivation Mulch the seedbed. Water. Gradually remove the straw as soon as the seedbed has emerged. Plant permanently in place in autumn or spring, 20 cm apart. Flowering Flowering from April to June, the year following sowing. Use in a composition with daisies, pansies, primroses and tulips.
